Redbrick Molecular aims to create steady and long-term support for the UK chemical sciences through commercial development of academic chemistry. We are an impactful collaborative partner for our member universities and dedicate all our profits to fund academic researchers in chemistry at UK Higher Education Institutions.
We are uniquely positioned to develop novel research materials from academic research. We work hard to understand customer requirements and design novel building blocks and scaffolds for the pharmaceutical industry to access novel areas of chemical space.
Redbrick Molecular manufactures novel building block chemicals and organic fragments predominantly using unique synthetic techniques licensed from academia with a key focus on quality and cutting edge science.
We operate at the University-Industry interface and collaborate with leading UK institutions to develop convenient access to novel chemical structures. We regularly consult with industry to design our products to fit pharmaceutical and agrochemical compound portfolios.
We continually enhance the scope of catalogues through supporting ongoing academic research into the reactivity and growth points of these compounds. Each new breakthrough is then made publically available through academic publication.
We have valuable support from a dedicated Science Advisory Group, comprising key opinion leaders from industry and academia. The group meet regularly to guide us on the new developments in organic and medicinal chemistry, and ensure that the maximum value and quality is built into our catalogues.
Redbrick Molecular is a joint-venture spinout company from the University of Leeds and University of Sheffield.
